The 2012-13 Macon County Marching Tigers are an ensemble that consist of 2 field commanders, 6 colorguard members, 13 percussionist, and 35 wind players.
Each year the Marching Tigers perform their halftime show for all football games, and compete in various marching competitions throughout the Middle Tennessee Region. The Marching Tigers can also be seen in the annual Homecoming and Christmas Parades held in Lafayette, TN.
In 2005 and 2008, the Marching Tigers had the distinct honor of marching the Main Street Parade in Disney World's Magic Kingdom.
The Wind Ensemble at Macon County High School allows each student the opportunity to play a wide range of wind band compositions. The Wind Ensemble performs at least two concerts a year (Christmas and Spring). Over the past two years the Wind Ensemble has also performed a "Pops" concert, drawing from popular movie scores, and modern compositions.
The Jazz program is an ensemble that has seen many looks over the years in Macon County. Ranging in size from a full jazz ensemble, to smaller combo groups, the jazz program strives to give young musicians the chance to play a variety of compositions from the jazz medium.
